A careful curation of home essentials - the perfect linen apron, a favorite sea salt, an everyday bowl, hand thrown. These items are classics, meant to withstand the test of time and are a gift to one’s home + kitchen.

Rediscover the art of cooking and eating communally with a beautiful, simple collection of meals for friends and family

Selected by the NY Times as a top cookbook of 2014 Sunday Suppers, celebrates the magic of gathering, bringing together friends and strangers to connect over the acts of cooking and sharing meals. For those who yearn to connect around the table, Karen’s simple, seasonally-driven recipes, evocative photography, and understated styling form a roadmap to creating community in their own kitchens and in offbeat locations. This collection of gatherings will inspire a sense of adventure and community for both the novice or experienced cook alike. Our cookbook is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Indie Bound and our Essentials Shop.

Recipe |Broiled Citrus Toast + Ricotta Toast

A welcomed pop of color in these dreary winter months - toasts and crostinis are a go-to at the studio. We are quite lucky that our neighborhood shop stocks incredible fresh breads and ricotta. We can then get creative with the toppings, this is a broiled citrus toast, atop a hefty pile of fresh ricotta, drizzled with honey. It is warm and satisfies the sweet and savory cravings of a long studio day.Full Recipe Here.

Sunday Supper | Salt of the Earth

This communal cooking dinner was dedicated to the art of cooking with salt. We paired seasonal plates with a selection of natural and infused sea salts and the class was led by our chef Christina Liva, showing us how to make salts at home and create off-beat flavor profiles in our cooking. This seasonal shop is a careful curation of essentials in our home- the perfect linen apron, a favorite sea salt, an everyday bowl, hand thrown. These items are classics - meant to withstand the test of time and are a gift to one’s home and kitchen. As the cold weather approaches we invite you to celebrate home and ritual. We will be cooking, brewing tea and staying close. We hope that these items will add a comfort and warmth to you and your loved ones.
