Sobremesa | Lovettsville

Join us for our Lovettsville edition of our Sobremesa Winter 2019, a global dinner series, hosted by Sarah Searle. Sarah owns a small farmstead called Quartzwood in Lovettsville, Virginia, with her husband Ben, where they grow culinary mushrooms, raise chickens and ducks for pastured eggs, and host guests in their restored 1700s cabin. For more of their work, follow them at @searle_sarah.

About the meal

This meal is inspired by harmony and balance in a winter season. When the elements are cold and intense outside, we turn inwards for warmth and comfort. This meal offers a delicate approach to balance. We seek foods that are nurturing and warming, but still delicate and graceful. We pair a rich meal with refreshing elements as an ode to the balance between light and dark.
