We’re thrilled to share the Winter + Spring seasons of Sobremesa — our global dinner series. Our hosts, from around the world, continue to amaze us, creating thoughtful, beautiful meals that fully capture the essence of Sobremesa. We’d love to take a moment celebrate their meals + reflect on the inspirations behind them.

The winter meal is titled ‘Harmony’ as it’s inspired by harmony and balance in a winter season. When the elements are cold and intense outside, we turn inwards for warmth and comfort. The meal offers a delicate approach to balance. We seek foods that are nurturing and warming, but still delicate and graceful. We pair a rich meal with refreshing elements as an ode to the balance between light and dark

The Spring season is titled ‘Begin’ as it is the time of renewal and freshening. We emerge from the colder months and are welcomed by fragrant, light air. The meal is inspired by spring’s delicate nature and a dawning of green. The food served is a way to highlight the bounty and lightness of the season, the meal is purposefully light and airy but still filling and warming—suitable for a transitional season towards the cycle of beginnings.
